Hunting Maine's whitetail deer in the Western Maine Mountains is the most rewarding challenge. It takes patience and persistence that a buck will pass by your stand or blind as he has been tracked through that very spot and corridor. When the rut is on, bucks have one thing on their mind and it ain't you.
Our goal is the get you a shot at a nice buck. Hunters who choose a guided deer hunt enjoy the advantage of having the scouting done in advance and tree stands and ground blinds already in place in productive areas. Hunters prefer the most effective method of still hunting which is sitting in a tree stand or ground blind watching over natural areas and along trails.
We will retrieve your game, field dress and transport it to tagging station with you. Game pole and cooler on site for your harvest.
Our hunts may fill up quickly so we encourage you to book your hunt early.
Gratuities for your Guide are not included.
A 10%-30% tip is traditional.

We also offer game processing at our home site through Buzzell's Deer Processing in Greene, Maine for an additional fee. Cut, vacuum sealed and froze to your liking. Our hunts may fill up quickly so we encourage you to book your hunt early.

Langtown Outfitters offers quality affordable bear hunts in the Western Mountains of Maine between Rangeley and Eustis. We book a limited amount of hunters each week. All hunts are tailored to your abilities with tree stands and ground blinds.
When stated 'no meals', the hunter is responsible for providing their own food and doing their own cooking. Cabins are equipped with full size refrigerator, stove/oven, dishes, cookware and utensils. All Black Bear hunts include lodging in our comfortable modern wildlife themed cabins.
A booking deposit is required to book and hold a reservation.
Deposits are non refundable.
6 day ~ $500 deposit required
3 day ~ $300 deposit required
6 day hunt ~ arrive Sunday after 2pm and depart the following Sunday morning.
3 day hunt ~ arrive Thursday morning and depart Sunday by 10am OR arrive Monday morning by 10am and depart Thursday by 10am.
We offer a full guide service. We take pride in pre-baiting so all hunters sit on active bait sites. Fresh bait while on the hunts, transportation to and from the stands in our vehicles, retrieval of your game, field dress, skin and quartering of the meat and refrigeration if needed are all included in each hunt. Your Guide walks you into the stand and picks you up.
Arrangements can be made with Buzzell’s Game Processing at JB Meats in Greene, Maine to have your game processed, vacuum sealed and blast froze to your specifications. By appointment only so let us know if you need this service when booking your hunt.
Bear camp is an enjoyable experience! We don’t take you out to the stand until afternoon so you have all morning to use as you wish. Our area has many miles of ATV trails to explore. If you choose bring along your fishing pole or fly rod and try your favorite lure or fly in the many brooks and ponds around the camp. Use one of our kayaks or canoes and take a paddle on Flagstaff Lake. There’s always plenty of fun things to do at bear camp!
